Your team keeps hitting the same wall and no single person explains it

The wall is real, and your people are not failing one by one. When a team hits the same wall again and again, the cause is rarely in any one person's results. It comes from how the whole team is built, and that is hard to see one report at a time.

You need two sections from each person's results; read the styles first. Understanding Styles names each person's working style, one of four: Accelerator, Analyst, Harmonizer, or Pragmatist. The Five Types of Work names the work that energizes them, primary and complement among Analytical, Creative, Integrative, Influential, and Operational. Pull both from their own results, not your read of them.

Now do this.

1. Name the wall in one line. The launch that always slips, the decision that gets reopened, the risk the team keeps waving past. Make it concrete.
2. Build a simple team map. One row per person, two columns: their working style, and their primary and complement work type. Fill it from their results.
3. Read each column down, not across. In the style column, look for one style stacked three or four deep with no complement. In the work-type column, look for a type no one holds.
4. Match the pattern to the wall. Mostly Accelerators ships fast and keeps missing the risk an Analyst would flag. No Integrative keeps dropping the handoffs between the pieces. The concentration, or the missing type, usually names your wall.
5. Staff or assign against it. Write one move. Bring in the missing style, or hand the piece the team keeps dropping to whoever's results fit it best. Then tell them why it is theirs.

You end with a one-page map of your team, the gap circled, and one staffing move written down. You could only see this because you had each person's real results in front of you. A guess about who the cautious one is would have missed it.

You were never going to coach this wall away one person at a time. It came from a shape you could only see with everyone side by side.
