Methodology
Most career tests ask what you "like" or "prefer." But let's be honest – who really knows?
Pigment's core innovation is our scenario-based assessment approach that captures how you actually behave at work, not just what you think you prefer. Instead of asking if you "like" data analysis, we show you real workplace situations. Like: "Your team needs a decision, but you only have half the information. What do you do?" Your answers reveal how you actually work, not how you think you work.
Through 120 scenarios, we map over 80 traits that uncover patterns about what gives you energy versus what drains it. This approach combines thousands of hours of real-world career observations with established research—including Csikszentmihalyi's flow state research, strengths-based psychology frameworks, and Person-Environment Fit theory.
