How to surround yourself with the people who bring out your best
This is for you if your best work tends to show up more around some people than others. Certain rooms pull it right out of you, and you want more of those rooms.
Your best work does not show up evenly. It runs hotter around some people, and cooler around others. The right person hands you the kind of problem you were built for, and you light up. This guide finds those people, so you can spend more of your week with them.
Start in your report. Open your two Superpowers and pick the one that feels most alive right now. Read its How to Nurture note. That is the report telling you what your best is and what feeds it. If you want a second read, glance at the How to Amplify line under your strongest System. Keep both in view.
Now the part the report can't do for you.
- Pull three real moments when you were at your best. From the last year: a stretch where you felt sharp and fully yourself, and it went well. Write one line for each. "The week I rebuilt the onboarding and it just flowed."
- For each one, name who was in the room. Just the one or two people whose being there made it click. Write them next to each moment.
- Next to each name, write what they did. Be specific. They handed you the big, messy problem. They asked the question that lit you up. They cleared the noise and let you run.
- Read the three moments together. The same person, or the same kind of move, will show up more than once. Those are the people who bring your Superpower out. Circle them.
- Pick one or two, and pull them closer this week. One real move. Bring them the kind of problem you are best at. Ask for a standing time to work together. Say yes to the next thing they pull you into. Keep it concrete: "I'll bring Priya the messy strategy call on Thursday, before it gets tidy."
You'll walk away holding a short list:
> The people who bring my best out → the one move I'm making this week to be around them more.
