How to name the contribution that doesn't show up on paper
This is for you if things run smoothly because of you, and smooth is what makes the work vanish. The fire you put out before anyone smelled smoke. And a quiet sense that the credit keeps landing somewhere else.
Two things hide this work. From outside it looks effortless, so it reads as luck. From inside, you have never had to put words to it, so even you can lose track of it.

- Pick the one strength that was actually at work, not all ten.
- Name what you did and the strength that made it, in one plain sentence.
- Say it once, to the person who needs to hear it, then stop.
Here is one filled in. Say your top strength is spotting risks others miss.
"The launch stayed calm because I caught the problems early."
A plain read, not a boast. You are naming what you did, in words your own result handed you.
Say one true sentence at the moment it is earned. Do that a few times, and the pattern no one could see starts to carry your name.
